Her name is Loes, her shop is called (Atelier)Louise, and both are warm and welcoming!
Loes a lady with experience of life, she has lived abroad for many years and is now back in her home town, runs a very interesting vintage and brocante shop in the Breestraat in Delft. I met her while working for Blauww magazine. The shop is like a treasure chamber, a place where you find unique, unexpected, original and mostly extraordinary stuff for you name what.
Vintage clothes, toys, lamps, jewelry, puppets, small furniture like little tables, cupboards, chairs. Everything Loes finds herself when she is on treasure hunt in Belgium at obscure markets (yes, therefore is Belgium the place to be) she buys it and takes it to her shop in Delft to make us happy.
I know a lot of vintage shops but hers is unique. She has an eye for special objects.
The Breestraat is only five minutes from the city center and a must visit when you are in Delft. Especially now when I told you about Loes. Look at her timetable carefully, she opens her shop from Thursday till Saturday.
Tell her I said Hi!
